As part of an extensive renovation of their rustic midcoast-Maine summer estate that was featured in Maine Home + Design Magazine, this client asked me to design a new coffee table for her living room that would display her collection of seashells and beach stones from the property’s private beach.  The client had found an old typeset drawer that she wanted to incorporate into the table’s design.  Topped with a single plate of glass, the table’s interior is a loose grid of smaller compartments.  To keep with the antique cottage aesthetic of the home, the table has a distressed finish that lends a vintage appearance.
